TORN: Death Dealers MC Page 6
She grabs the headrest and hangs on so that I don't push her right into the backseat, and locks her ankles under my ass. I grit my teeth to try to make it last longer, but I'm already so close. She lets out a strangled cry and I feel her muscles spasm around my cock as she comes. I couldn't hold on any longer if I wanted to. I release myself inside of her with a groan.
I collapse on top of her, breathing hard, but I don't want to crush her. I carefully extricate myself from her limbs and awkwardly find my way back to sitting in the driver's seat. Marie grabs her purse and pulls out tissues, handing one to me and using the other on herself.
"I'm sorry," she whispers, as she raises the seat and pulls her pants back up and her shirt down.
"Why are you apologizing?"
"You said we shouldn't do anything because we work together and then I pushed you into it."
"You didn't push me," I tell her, but she won't meet my eyes.
"I think I did," she says, opening up the car door.
"Marie…" I say, reaching out for her hand.
"Don't worry, I'll get the evidence you need," she says, and shuts the door.
"Wait!" I call after her, but she's running back to her car. I slam my hand down onto the steering wheel. Her headlights turn back on, and I watch her leave. I pick up my phone and quickly text her: At least promise me you'll be careful.
I sit there waiting for ten minutes for a response, but she doesn't reply.
Chapter 13 – Marie
"Okay, so Buzz says that if we want to be accepted as sweet butts, we gotta do whatever the brothers ask of us," Candice tells me.
"Uh-huh," I tell her absentmindedly.
"You sure you want to do this?" she asks, mistaking my distraction for nervousness.
"Yeah, I'm sure," I tell her. I mean, sure, I'm nervous about being a sweet butt, especially with Taz around. But what I'm really thinking about is what happened with Drew. He's such a great guy, and so moral and upstanding, and I went and basically seduced him. He made it clear our relationship had to be professional. I'm always screwing things up. This is why I have to be so strict with myself, because if I don't, I wind up really going off the rails.
I just felt so confused. I think I'm starting to have real feelings for him, but was also all tied up in knots after what happened with Ford. Drew is the kind of guy I could actually imagine making a life with, though I'm not sure I could ever deserve someone like him.
I guess that's why I felt like I should become a sweet butt. I think it's some sort of masochistic tendency inside of me. I've done some terrible things, and this is my penance. I deserve what I get.
I pull the car onto the lawn of the Death Dealers' compound. There are a few other cars already here, all parked neatly in a row, unlike the party last week. Sun shines off the chrome on a long line of bikes closer to the building.
"You're sure I wasn't too bad around Buzz?" Candice asks me again as we get out of the car and head for the front door of the compound. I glance quickly toward the log where Ford had me straddling him.
"No, I don't think so. I think you left him inside before you got too drunk," I tell her. I still haven't mentioned how she puked in front of Ford and he had to carry her to the car. I don't think anything good will come of her knowing about that.
"Thank god," she says.
"Besides, he never would've told you that they were looking for more sweet butts if he thought you were a mess or something," I point out.
"I guess so," she replies, sounding a little doubtful. "And you think it's okay for you to come, too? He didn't specifically say to bring a friend or anything."
"If it's not okay, I'll leave, I promise. I don't want to mess up your chances," I tell her. I had to work on her a little bit for her to feel comfortable with me coming along at all.
"I mean, I'm sure they'll love you, it's just…" she says.
"Don't worry. I get it," I assure her, as we push open the front door. There are three other young women sitting on one of the couches in the main room, where all the dancing was at the party. Two of them smile at Candice at me, while the other picks at her cuticles.
Candice and I take another couch next to them, and an older woman carrying some papers walks out from a door near the back of the bar. She's probably in her late forties, and has long, platinum blonde hair and a deep tan. "Ladies," she says with a nod, looking us over. "There's one more of you than I expected."
"Sorry, that's me," I pipe up. "My friend Candice told me that the Death Dealers were looking for more sweet butts, and I know I didn't get a personal invitation, but I was really hoping you'd give me a shot. I understand if you want me to leave."
She pauses, looking over my body. "You can stay. For now." Candice squeezes my hand as the woman turns to the rest of the girls. "I'm Liz, Tank's old lady. Tank's the president here, which you should already know. To you, that means he's god. Being a sweet butt here is a privilege. If you prove yourself, you'll become part of the family, with everything that entails. Your job as a sweet butt is to obey. Do what the brothers want, when they want," she tells us, her sharp brown eyes boring into us. "You got any problems, you got any questions, you come to me. Think of me as mother hen. Don't go bothering any of the brothers with shit, got it?" We all nod. "Now, first things first: background checks." I swallow hard as she hands out blank pieces of paper. "Security's tight right now, so not just anyone can walk in here. Put down your full name, where you were born, and your social security number. Don't worry, I got no interest in taking your identity," she adds with a smirk.
I feel my palms sweat as Candice hands me a pen. Fuck, fuck, fuck. What are the last two numbers of Beth's social? Drew made me go over and over this. Is it three eight, or eight three? I stare at the paper, trying to picture it.
"What's the holdup?" Liz snaps. I look up, and realize everyone else has already handed her their papers.
"Sorry," I murmur, scribbling down eight three and handing her the paper.
"While I run these, you're gonna do some cleaning up. Start outside. Those two doors are off-limits," she says, pointing to the door that I know leads down the hallway, then to the meeting room and the cell, and another one, the one she initially came out of. "There are trash bags over there," she says with a nod. "Well, what are you waiting for?" she adds as we sit there staring at her.
We all jump up and head over to the trash bags. One of the other girls hands one out to each of us, and I glance over my shoulder at Liz as she leaves through the door. I can just see a computer on a desk behind her. Shit. That's where I should have gone at the party. That must be their offices.
"I'm Stacy," the girl who handed out the bags whispers to me as we head outside via the front door.
"Beth," I tell her with a smile. "And this is my friend Candice."
There's trash and litter everywhere, so we all spread out, taking different sections of the huge yard. I keep glancing toward the building as I robotically pick up trash from the ground. Should I just leave now? What if I got the social wrong? Or what if Drew couldn't get my fake information into all the right databases? I don't know how he was going to do it, he just said he'd take care of it. Or what if the Death Dealers have contacts in government agencies that go way above our police department, and they'll immediately know that I'm undercover?
I take two steps toward the car. Now's my chance to get out. I should just leave.
I feel a hand on my shoulder and almost jump out of my skin. "Beth, why am I getting an image of myself puking back here?" Candice asks me.
I smile, my spell of anxiety broken a little. "Um…"
"Oh, god. Was it bad?"
"No, no. Only I saw it. And Ford."
"Ford? Fuck, he's the hottest one!"
"Don't worry. He was really nice about it. He even carried you back to your car."
Beth groans. "Well, I guess it's too late now."
"Yep, guess so," I reply, glancing back toward the building.
Chapter 14 – Ford

br /> "Hey, Liz," I tell her with a smile as Marsh and I walk into the office. She's a tough lady, but she's gotta be to have married Tank. "Working on a Sunday?"
"New batch of sweet butts," she tells me, looking up from her computer. "Some lookers, too."
"That so?" asks Marsh, grabbing his cell phone from his desk. He takes care of most of the club's finances, so he's in here a lot. I'm not really a desk kind of guy.
"How was church?" Liz asks. No other old lady would dare ask about church, but Liz is the president's wife.
"Tank's not too happy," Marsh replies drily. That's an understatement. Uncle managed to escape from the cell yesterday, and Tank can't figure out how. I'm sure he'd try to beat the information out of someone, if he knew where to start.
"Mm. He's got me running background checks on all the new sweet butts," Liz tells him, then cackles. "I feel like a goddamn private eye! They've all checked out, though."
"So, where are they?" Marsh asks with a smile.
"The sweet butts? Out back, cleaning up," Liz says. "Let me know what you think!" she calls after us as we head out.
In the big room, there are a dozen brothers lining the windows looking out at the back yard. Marsh and I stroll over to one of them, looking out at the women, who are unaware of their audience since the windows are tinted.
"Holy fuck," one of them swears, as a sweet butt bends over and ties her shoes. The rest of the guys all look over and ogle her ass, which is as nearly perfect an ass as I've ever seen.
"What the shit…" I murmur to myself as the woman stands up. That's Beth…what the hell is she doing here? I didn't do anything with her number, even though I've been dying to see her again. Something about the way she was behaving at the party made me suspicious. And now she turns up here as a sweet butt…
"I am going to tear that ass up," Switch swears.
"Not if I get to her first. Just imagine those lips on my dick, those big eyes looking up at me," Yankee says, miming shoving his dick into her mouth.
I don't know what comes over me. It's like my vision goes black for a moment, and then I'm holding Yankee up against the wall with my hand around his throat, his feet dangling off the ground.
"You don't touch her," I grunt.
"Ford, ease off. Take a breath," Marsh says, stepping into my line of sight. He puts a hand on my shoulder, and I blink, then loosen my grip on Yankee and let him slide down the wall.
"What the fuck, Ford?" Yankee rasps, taking in gulps of air.
"She's mine. I find out anyone so much as looks at her wrong, I'll fucking kill you. Got me?" I look around at the silent group around me, making eye contact with everyone until they nod. "Spread the word," I say, and stalk out toward the front of the building.
I burst out the front door and head for my bike. Marsh is right behind me and plants himself between me and my hog.
"What the hell was that about?" he demands, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Nothing."
"Fuck nothing."
I sigh. "I just…I know that girl, okay?"
"You attacked Switch because you know her?" March asks dubiously.
"There's just something different about her! She doesn't belong here being a sweet butt."
"But maybe she belongs here being your old lady," March says, raising an eyebrow.
"I didn’t say that!"
"Right, okay…" March replies, stepping away from my bike. "Well, don't worry, I don't think anyone else will touch her now."
"They better not," I mutter, getting on my biking and pushing the ignition. I hear Marsh laugh to himself as I head out the front gates of the compound. I can't see Beth right now. I need to think of how to handle the situation first. When I'm around her, I lose all my sense. I've already stuck my neck out for her once, and I don't even know the first thing about her.
Well, there's one way to fix that.
Chapter 15 – Marie
I sweat as I carry out another case of beers to the cooler out back. The Death Dealers have been having a barbecue since noon, and now it's nearly eleven, and it seems like they have no intention of wrapping things up. The other new sweet butts and I have been tasked with the most menial tasks, since we're at the very bottom of the totem pole. Some of the more senior sweet butts seem to relish ordering us around.
I hang out around the brothers for a little, hoping to hear something interesting, but they're always careful not to discuss club business in front of us. I head back to the kitchen and grab a glass from the cabinet. Stacy, Candice, and Heather, another one of the newbies, stare out at the brothers on the back lawn as I fill up with water from the tap.
"Buzz," Candice says.
"No way," Heather replies. "I'm talking objectively. You just have a crush on Buzz."
"Objectively, Ford," Candice replies with a smile.
"Ford," Stacy agrees with a nod.
"Definitely Ford," Heather chimes in. I perk up. I haven't even seen him once in the two weeks since I've been a sweet butt, but I guess everyone else has.
"What about Ford?" I ask.
"He's the hottest," Heather explains. "Don't you think?"
"Mm," I murmur noncommittally.
"So, who's tried you out so far?" Heather asks. She's the one who was a little standoffish on the first day, and now she's quickly established herself as our leader.
"What do you mean?" I ask, taking a sip of water.
"You know, who have you fucked?"
"Heather!" Candice chides her.
"Well, that's what we're talking about, isn't it?" Heather says with a shrug.
"Um, no one," I tell her honestly.
"What, seriously?" Candice asks. "I thought you were just being private."
"No…" I glance around at them. "Wait, have you guys all slept with some of the brothers?" They all nod.
"You turned them down?" Heather asks. "I'm surprised you're still here."
"No…I mean, no one's asked me," I admit, feeling embarrassed even though I've been so relieved not to have had it be an issue.
"Oh. Well, I'm sure it's fine. I mean, you're gorgeous, Beth," Candice assures me. "Maybe they're just, I don't know, biding their time."
"So you've all slept with Ford, then?" I ask.
"I wish," Heather says. Candice and Stacy shake their heads no. "But I hear he's the best."
"Okay, you're done for the night," Liz tells us, appearing in the doorway. "You can hang out and have a drink if you want," she adds.
As the other girls hurry out to party, I beg off. There are people hanging out around the office, so I'm not going to be able to do anything that's actually useful. And to be honest, I don't know how Candice and the others are keeping up this schedule. Between my shifts at the bar and my work as a sweet butt, I'm exhausted.
I head out to the front of the compound and, feeling someone watching me, glance quickly toward the back and see Taz staring at me. I quickly get into my car. He hasn't tried anything, but he still gives me the creeps.
Driving home, I think over what the girls told me. I guess Taz hasn't tried to fuck me because Ford warned him off, but what about everyone else? Drew made it seem like an inevitability that I'd have to sleep with some of the brothers, but so far, none of them have even flirted with me.
Well, other than Ford, that is. I kept thinking he'd call, but I'm starting to wonder if he's been avoiding me. How is it possible that all the other sweet butts have seen him around but me? Was our hookup at the party that bad for him? I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.
I pull into the parking lot outside Candice's apartment building with a yawn, despite all my concerns. I park in an empty space and shut off my headlights, then fumble around for my purse on the passenger side. The damn streetlight must be out, because I can't see a thing. I finally snag a handle, and wearily get out of my car.
As I lock it, I freeze. Something's tickling the back of my neck. It's the feeling I always get when I'm in danger. Taz. He must have followed me back. I tu
ck my keys between my fingers so I can use them as a weapon.
I begin to turn around, but I'm slammed against the car. The wind is knocked out of me, but I'm not done fighting. I throw my head back, trying to make contact with my Taz's face, but he's taller than I remembered. I hit his chest. He has his hands around my wrists now. Fuck, he's strong. I can smell something: chloroform.
I let out a high-pitched scream and try to pull one of his legs out from under him with my foot, but he's got them firmly planted. He lets go of one of my hands, and I reach back and scratch at his face. I hear him let out a hiss as I dig into his skin, but the smell of chloroform grows stronger as he covers my mouth with a towel. As my vision blurs, a black bag is placed over my head…
I wake up with a gasp. Fear spreads throughout my body like a frost, touching every inch of me. I can feel the tight binding on my wrists. I'm sitting in a chair with them pulled behind me. I blink. The bag is still on my head. I can hear my own breaths, raspy and desperate within the black cloth.
I listen for any sound, any clue as to where I am. There's nothing. I force myself to take a deep breath and calm down. I've been in worse situations than this.
My feet aren't tied down, so I move them around, exploring the space around me. The floor is smooth, like cement. I begin to stand.
"Don't," a voice warns me. I freeze.
"I thought you were Taz," I say, sitting back down in the chair. "You didn't seem the type to abduct women."
"Guess you were wrong," Ford replies in his deep, dangerous growl.
"Why are you doing this?" I whisper. "You think I wouldn't have slept with you or—"
"This isn't about that," Ford cuts me off.
"What, then? It's just some sick game?"
"I like to know who's getting close to my MC."
"So you're doing this to all the sweet butts?" I ask, my heartbeat pounding in my ears.
"No. Just you," he replies. Fuck. I knew he was dangerous. I knew he saw right through me.
